Enron, WorldCom, HealthSouth......Common Currentsea???

Say it ain't so. Accounting fraud??

Yep, there's been some accounting irregularities here at Common Currentsea. Yours truly forgot to add expenses incurred from PayPal. However, a portion of those expenses were offset by another e-book sale. Forget the last two posts. Those numbers are incorrect. Here's the new total after adding one book purchase and subtracting the PayPal expenses.

$25.47

The Georgia E-Book

The experiment proved to be a success. I sold three copies of the e-book. Total sales were $5.82. After expenses, I profited $4.82.

I'm thinking of relisting the book because I think I have some ideas to better market it. The book had over 800 page views, but only three people bought it.

Add another 4+ bucks to the tally. Total is now $7.64.

A Bonanza

Yep, last night was a bonanza. Added 26 more cents to the pot. That makes my current total $2.82.

mo money

Ron called and he was all, blah-blah-blah-penny and blah-blah-blah-2 pennies. Cigna notified me that if I take a health risk assessment survey through WebMD they would give me a $50 Amex gift check. Took the survey last night, so we'll see in about 4-6 weeks. Trav out.

Mo' Money

I got sick of looking for change on the ground, so I decided to be more entrepreneurial. Instead of working, I sat around all day trying to figure out how to make a few bucks. I was getting frustrated and I even thought about actually going back to work. And that's when it happened. Charge money for my appearance. Just over one hour ago, I was paid $1.00 just for showing up at a friend's house. Screw looking for spare change on the ground.

Oh yeah, I also found two pennies in my office parking lot today............... old habits die hard.

$1.02 added today. My total stands at $1.23.

Add Another Dime

A near 100% increase today. Stole it from a little old lady walking out of the grocery store. Just kidding, found it lying on the ground. My total stands at 21 cents.

11 Cents Richer

Received an extra 11 cents today at the convenience store. You can look at my newest 11 cents in one of two ways.

1. I've now discovered the importance of money. Every single penny counts. Your mistake is my gain.

or

2. I've now lost all my moral and ethical descision making skills. For the same reason.....because every single penny counts.

In any event, we've got an additional 11 cents. Not quote $5 bucks, but it's a marathon; not a sprint. Watch your heels Travis. I'm coming.

The Karma has started....

Returned to Orlando on Wed to discover a package in the mail from the Nielsen TV people. They sent me a TV diary to record all of the shows I watch this week and 5 crisp, new $1 bills for my trouble. I think that puts me at step 10 or so. Funny that I complained to Ron about starting at a penny, because I didn't feel like searching around for money on the ground.

TV Diary is pretty easy for this 4 day weekend...football, football, and more football. Trav.

In the beginning....

Tonight we decided to begin the journey of turning 1 penny into $1 Mil dollars. Since the team (Common Currentsea) is geographically separated, we will begin individually and combine the amounts at Step 14 ($80). We will report progress here on a step-by-step basis.
